Pattaya 70-Year-Old Lady Chokes To Death On Bread

A 78 -year -old Indian woman choke to death eating bread & jam. Her son brought her to the hospital but his mother was dead on arrival.

PATTAYA – April 2, 2012 [PDN]; Pol.Lt.Col. Songkram Pan-Iam, Pattaya police was notified from Pattaya memorial hospital that a man had arrived with an Indian woman who was dead on arrival.

At the Pattaya memorial hospital in the emergency room the police found the dead woman identified as Mrs. Harbhaian Kaur 78 -years-old, Indian nationality lying on her back, wearing white blouse. Standing beside her bed was Mr.Hariderpal Singh, a 52 years-old man, her son.

Upon inspecting the body, the doctor confirmed the cause of death: suffocation.Mrs. Harbhaihan’s airways had been blocked by bread & jam and she was dead before reaching the hospital.

The doctor tried to resuscitate her but to no avail.The bread & jam was extracted out of her mouth & airways and given to the given the police to be examined.

Then Pol.Lt.Col. Songkram Pan-Iam questioned Mr.Singh, her son who gave his testimony, which said, before the incident happened his mom had been eating bread with red jam at Mr. Singh’s house.Suddenly his mother convulsed and cried for help, so he brought her to the hospital. He did not notice that she already was dead.

After Pol.Lt.Col.Songkram Pan-Iam had completed the investigation, he recorded the testimony to be used as evidence before sending the body for autopsy. After the post mortem examination the body will be returned to the son.
