Ex-Engineer Nabbed In Pattaya With 100 kgs Ganja Worth 1.8 million THB

An unemployed ex-engineer turned drug dealer was arrested delivering 100 kgs ganja worth 2 million THB. Police seaching for black Isuzu D-Max.
PATTAYA – March 6, 2012 [PDN]; Pol. Lt. Gen. Dr. Panya Mamen, Pol. Maj. Gen. Jamnong Rattanakul, Commissioner and Pol. Col. Nunthavuth Suwanlaorng, Superintendent, Pattaya police reported on the arrest of Mr. Ronnachai Krongyuth, age 36 from 145 Moo 7, Muangmai, Sri Boonreung, Nongbualamphoo province in possession of 100 units of dried ganja packed in 1 kg units; totally 100 kg and a Honda Jazz sedan, grey-black color, license number KOR NOR 1300 Udonthani. Mr. Ronnachai was charged with possession and sales of ganja.
On March 5, 2012. A police team led by Pol. Lt. Col. Santi Choocherd and Pol. Lt. Col. Chiddecha Songhong discovered a group of international ganja vendors in Chaiyapreuk area. The police set up a undercover operation to buy 100 kg ganja from Mr. Ronnachai. An appointment was madeat Soi Kanyapak Apartment, Chaiyapreuk 1, Banglamung.
Later, the suspect turned up in his Honda Jazz followed by a Isuzu Dmax, pick up truck, black color, license number BOR BOR 1439 Sakonnakorn.
The police arrested the driver of the Honda Jazz; Mr. Ronnachai – but Isuzu D-Max, pickup truck escaped. Inside the Honda the police found 100 units of dried ganja.
Upon investigation the suspect confessed that he used to be an electrical engineer. But after being unemployed he was hired to be a drug dealer. Ganja, 20,000 THB per delivery.
The ganja was delivered from Udonthani to Pattaya. The market price of ganja is 18,000 THB per unit or per kg. The street value of the captured ganja is 1,800,000 THB.
The police charged the ex-engineer with possession and sales of ganja. The suspect will be prosecuted according to the Thai law. The police is searching for the rest of the escaped ganja dealers driving a black Isuzu D-Max license number BOR BOR 1439 Sakonnakorn.Tags :
