Pattaya Cops Raid Two Meth Factories in Residential Pattaya

Banglamung police seized a large meth factory in Naklua residential arean in Pattaya. The multi-million ya-ba operation is under investigation. The ringleader of the meth lab gang escaped narrowly.
PATTAYA – February 29, 2012 [PDN]; Pol.Lt.Gen. Panya Mamen Region 2 Police Commissioner and Pol.Maj.Gen.Chamnong Rattanakul- Commander of Chonburi Police reported that they had arrested Mr.Abhisit Keyen age 19 and Mr. Bandit Kamwong age 24. The suspects were in possession of 545 green meth tablets, two brown crystals weighing 1.7 kg, meth producing equipment and cookers, grinders and reactants.
The locals in the neighborhood had reported strong chemical smells coming from the house 285/133 Regent village, Soi 16, Pattaya-Naklua road, Banglamung.
The village security guard confirmed that Mr. Abhisit Keyen and Mr.Bandit Kamwong who worked as cooks in a hotel in Pattaya often visited the house. After their arrest they confessed that they had rented the house for Mr. “Ake”, the ringleader currently a prisoner in Bang Kwang prison in Bangkok. The two would also cook for Mrs. Ploy Sripanna age 39 who was working for the boss Mr. “Ake”
Mrs.Ploy Sripanna was the superviser of the gang and Mr. Sane Jeeta age 51 years, prisoner in Prae was the dealer.
The reason they set up the meth lab in Pattaya instead of produce it in the north was simply that they wanted avoid police check points on the roads while transporting the methamphetamines.
Moreover, the police found out that Mrs.Ploy had rented another house 64/1 in soi Nongsadao, Banglanmung as a backup lab.
The house was locked. After entering the police found meth cooking equipment; aluminium stalls, rubber globes, synthetic chemicals, etc.
The meth lab had the capacity to produce more than 100,000 methamphetamine tablets.
The police will wait for the court order to have a arrest warrant for Mrs. Ploy, for Abhisit and Bandit. The police will carry on working on the case until each gang member is arrested.
