Sattahip Cops Nab Ex Convicts Running a Car Care Center

Sattahip police arrested a gang of drug dealers ex convicts who just had came out from jail and had opened a car care center.They copied the keys, stole the customer’s cars and exported them to Burma and Cambodia.The police arrested two of the gang members but the gang leader "Joe" Baanchang and his wife still at large.

Sattahip, February 23, 2012 [PDN]; Pol. Col. Phakorn Thapnet, Deputy Commissioner Sattahip police station, reported the arrest of two suspects: Mr. Veerayuth or Yuth Kanleunarm, age 27, address: 111 Moo 4 Tambon Khaophra, Suphanburi province and Mr. Pharathorn or “Louis” Theanthong, age 24, address: 46 Huaypong, Rayong province.

The thieves opened a car care business “Joe’s Car Care”to to conceal their criminal activities. Location: 46/11 Moo 5, Samnakthon, Baanchang, Rayong province.

 

The police confiscated one Nissan Cefiro, bronze color, license number SOR NOR-5992 Bangkok, one pickup truck: Isuzu Dmax, gold bronze color, red license number TOR-4425 Bangkok, another pickup truck: Isuzu Dmax, bronze color, license number BOR LOR-1193 Rayong and equipment used for stealing cars.

The police has an arrest warrant from Pattaya provincial court to arrest Mr. Keukul or “Joe” Yongprayoon, age 30, address: 296/66 Moo 5 Tambon Na Klua, Banglamung, Chonburi province and Ms. Anchalee or “Tarn” Yaikratok, age 17, address: 30 Moo 3,Satrakien, Serngsang, Nakornratchasima province. The couple are the owners of the car care center and “Joe” is the gang leader.

 

Mr. Veerayuth the arrested suspect demonstrated how to he copied the customer’s car keys and how he stole the cars. The police obtained CCTV footage of the four thieves as they were stealing cars in Bang Sarey, Sattahip area.

Pol. Lt. Col. Prakorb Saengpring, the head of the police team said that these thieves are part of a network who export stolen cars and pick up trucks to Burma & Cambodia. Mr. Nisit Thongtui a victim notified the police that his pickup truck was stolen. The Sattahip police coordinated with Baanchang police and the thieves were arrested.

The police assumes that the Sattahip gang had stolen not less than 10 cars. The two suspects also confessed that Mr. Keukul aka “Joe” had provided them amphetamines everyday in exchange of stolen cars.
