PATTANI – February 10, 2013 [PDN]; at 6 p.m., a truckload of terrorists strafed village homes and injured three childen and an adult before escaping. About 5 terrorists rode up in a silver bronze Toyota Vigo pickup truck with no license plate, to the village road route Kok Deplee-Kayee, Tambon Tuyong, Amphur Nongjik, Pattani province
When they arrived at the Kok Deplee-Kayee village, the 3 terrorists sitting in the back of the pickup truck used a machine gun to rake the houses of people before driving away to escape.
The two injured young boys were identified as Thanate Nukeua, age 11; and Supphakit Kulthawee, age 8. Also injured was a young girl, Aphissara Janthavong, age 4; and an adult male, Mr. Sarayuth Janthavong, age 33. All of them were shot in their arms and legs and taken to Nongjik hospital.
Afterwards, the scene was visited by bomb retrieval officers and evidence specialists of Pattani province. The officers assumed the assault was the act of a group of terrorists in reaction to a recent inspection by authorities in the area.
