PATTAYA – August 3, 2012 [PDN]; At 5:30 a.m., Pol. Lt. Col. Anake Sathongyu, Inspector, Pattaya police station, Chonburi province; together with the police team for suppressing drugs, Pattaya police station; reported arresting a major drug dealer in Pattaya and Amphur Banglamung. Police also arrested four others who helped her sell the drugs.
The major dealer was identified as Ms. Varaporn or “Nat Khaerat,” age 20, (middle, wearing glasses), address 27/62 Moo 9 Tambon Nong Preu, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province.
Ms. Varaporn was caught with 67.75 grams of ya-ice during a police raid of a house at Pattaya Roongreung village, Soi Nern Plub Wan, Tambon Nong Preu, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province.
Also arrested with 0.75 grams of ya-ice in his possession was Mr. Jirawatkrit or “Tong Niyomjaneka,” age 32, address 77/10 Moo 4 Tambon Banglamung, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province.

The third suspect is Ms. Hassalak Moongreudee, age 24, address 51 Moo 4 Tambon Banglamung, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province. She was arrested in a rental room on the 11th floor of the Pattaya Plaza Condominium in central Pattaya.
The fourth suspect and fifth suspects were arrested in a rented room in south Pattaya. Mr. J Boonmee, age 21, a Cambodian, was caught with 9 amphetamine tablets, and his Thai girlfriend was caught with 8 amphetamine tablets. She was identified as Ms. Wanna or “B Somjaiwang,” age 32, address 37/1 Moo 2 Tambon Ladya, Amphur Muang, Karnchanaburi province.
Pol. Lt. Col. Anake Sathongyu said the arrests were the result of mobilizing police forces to target drug addicts and sellers in Pattaya. The police had set up continuous checkpoints to inspect suspicious persons. They eventually arrested the street dealers.
The suspects were then investigated, which later led to the arrest of Ms. Varaporn, a major drug dealer in Pattaya and Amphur Banglamung.
During questioning, Ms. Varaporn confessed that she bought drugs from her connections, paying 10,000 THB for the drugs at a time. She then divided the drugs and distributed it among her circle of dealers to sell. Most of the buyers were Pattaya teenagers.
The police sent all defendants to the investigation officer to prosecute further according to the law.
