NONTHABURI – July 27, 2012 [PDN]; On July 25, a sexual abuse case was reported to Pol. Maj. Gen. Thanayut Wuttijarasdamrong, commissioner of Nonthaburi police; and Pol. Col. Sompop Kuhawichanan, director of Bangyai.
Making the report was Mrs. Paweena Hongsakul, the chairman of Paweena Hongsakul foundation for children and women.
She accompanied “Ms. Tan” (alias) age 27, and her Thai-German daughter, “Pang” (alias) age 5. The woman said the girl’s uncle-in-law, Mr. Piyarat, 33, had sexually abused “Pang” and recorded the abuse, which he stored in a file in his personal computer.
Ms. Tan had taken her daughter to the Paweena Hongsakul foundation for help after finding out about the abuse. They want Mr. Piyarat prosecuted for the sexual abuse of a child under 13 years old.
After hearing the report, Pol. Maj. Gen.Thanayut commanded Pol. Lt. Col. Panya and the police detective team to obtain an arrest warrant from Nonthaburi provincial court, number 399/2555, dated July 26.
The police arrested Mr. Piyarat at his home and brought him to the police station. He confessed to his crime, so police are keeping him for prosecution.
