An enraged wife repeatedly chopped the head of her cheating Cambodian husband with a kitchen knife and tried to slice his genitals off but did not succeed. In a separate incident, a man was stabbed in the face and seriously injured in a drunken knife fight.

PATTAYA – July 15, 2012 [PDN]; At 12:30 a.m., the rescue radio center of Sawang Boriboon Muang Pattaya foundation, Chonburi, received a report that some people used knives to chop each other and got injured at a construction worker camp at soi 11, Tepprasit, moo11, Nongprue, Banglamung.

The crime scene was about 50 meters from a construction camp, where rescuers found Mr. Lek, 32, a Cambodian, lying on the ground in his blood pool, with serious knife wounds on his head and the end of his eyebrow. The rescue team performed first aid and sent him to Banglamung hospital.

When the rescue team questioned the victim’s friends, they said that after finishing their daily work, they always sat in circle and drank alcohol. However, all the people in the circle saw Mr. Lek leave the circle to walk away and call his mistress. When his wife realized her husband was having an affair, she got furious, so she used her kitchen knife that she was carrying to chop him on his head and face, and then tried to cut his genitals. Luckily for Mr. Lek, his friends restrained her, and she escaped in the aftermath.

At about the same time as the incident, a police officer at the Pattaya police station was notified that not far from the first crime scene, some drunks were also using knives to chop each other, and one man was seriously injured. The officer brought the rescue team to the scene, where they found an unidentified man about 35- to 40-years-old lying in a blood pool, with a big wound in the center of his face. The rescue team performed first aid and sent him to Banglamung hospital.

Afterwards, about 10 volunteer police officers hunted for the criminal. A bystander said the man was hiding in the grove wood in a nearby soi. But after searching, police could not find any tracks of the criminal. However, police believe he is still near the crime scene and will keep trying to catch him.
