Pattaya Millionaire Caught Issued Bad Cheque to Lawyer

Pattaya Police arrested a millionaire woman, who paid her lawyer with a bouncing check.

PATTAYA – July 3,2012 [PDN]; Mr.Chaiwat Lomakul, 43 years old, the victim reported to the Crime Suppression Division Investigation police to arrest Miss Pannaporn Harnlakorn, 49 years old, with cheque fraud charges.

Mr.Chaiwat Lomakul said that Ms.Pannaporn Harnlakorn, hired him as a lawyer to sue her foreign ex-husband – a millionaire who owns lands, resorts and assets around 200 million THB on Samui island. She claims that all the property and assets belong to her Mr.Chaiwat Lomakul agreed to take on the case and made a contract. He worked on the case for two years, and paid all expenses beforehand.

He was able to get back 6 million THB from the foreigner. His expenses, what he paid beforehand and his lawyers fee: total 3 million THB.

Ms. Pannaporn issued him a check at 4 million THB but when he cashed the check, he found it was a bad cheque, there were insufficient funds in the account. He tried to contact Ms.Pannaporn but to no avail.

After investigating the case, the police found that Ms.Pannaporn transferred the 6 million THB to her child’s bank account before she disappeared. The police later arrested Ms.Pannaporn.
