Demolishing of Unauthorized Building in Pattaya Blocked By Thugs

Pattaya officials about demolish a building lacking building permission were blocked 20 men.

PATTAYA – July 2, 2012 [PDN]; Mr. Santichai Srithongklang, Pattaya legal officer, together with Pattaya municipality officers had ordered to demolish a one story building located in Jomtien Plaza Condotel, Jomtien beach road, Moo 12 Tambon Nong Preu Banglamung, Chonburi.

This building had been modified without permission, so the Pattaya officers issued an order to demolish the building within 45 days. Now it has been more than 45 day and the owner of the building did tear them down the building yet.

Later, Pattaya municipality announced that they will demolish the building within 7 days.

When the demolishing team arrived there were group of men, 20 men in the shop, blocking and closing the entrance of the shop.

Mr. Santichai Srithongklang, Pattaya legal officer said that the operation had been performed according to the law, but due to the blockage from the thugs he will issue an arrest to detain those who obstruct the operation.

The officer of Jomtien Plaza Condotel said, that they acknowledged that Pattaya municipality will demolish the building.
