Corrupt Pattaya Cop Transferred

A Pattaya Police officer was urgently transferred after letting arrested gamblers free.

PATTAYA – June 21, 2012 [PDN]; Pol. Lt. Col. Watcharet Nongpradit, Borwin police station, Chonburi province, arrested 74 gamblers along with equipment at an old restaurant in South Pattaya road while playing High-Low.

The police brought all the suspects to Pattaya police station but suddenly, Pol. Col. Thammanoon Munkong entered the meeting room and switched off the lights and pulled out the plug on the computer with all the evidence.

The police was able to record only 13 names and seize some of the gambling equipment.

June 23, 2012, Pol. Lt. Gen. Panya Mamen, commissioner section 2 will transfer Pol. Col. Thammanoon Munkong to another police station.

Pol. Col. Panthana Nootchanart, Superintendent, will be taking over this position.
