SATTAHIP – June 17, 2012 [PDN]; Pol. Lt. Col. Bamrung Rakbamrungsakul, Plutaluang police station, was notified by Pol. Sen. Sgt. Maj. Wanpen Laksanavong that he had arrested 2 teenagers suspected of motorbike theft on route 331 at the Kasemphol intersection Sattahip.
At the scene of the incident Pol. Sen. Sgt. Maj. Wanpen the officer of the sentry box had detained Mr. Patiparn or “Ping” Passara aged 18 address: 161 Huay Yai, Banglamung, Chonburi province and Mr. Pakphum or “Ord” Kanpai age 30 address: 39/3 Huay Yai, Sattahip, Chonburi province in possession of Suzuki KSR, yellow-black color motorbike license number JOR THOR ROR-208 Chonburi, Honda Wave 125, white color, license number NGOR YOR CHOR-787 Chonburi, 5 mobile phones, 2 bullets caliber 380 mm. and drug paraphernalia.
Pol. Lt. Col. Bamrung Rakbamrungsakul, said that upon investigating the suspects confessed they had stolen the motorbikes together in Pattaya.
But as they were riding the stolen bikes to deliver them to customers in Rayong, they ran out petrol.
Sot they tried to hitchhike for more than 2 hours. But to no avail. Until a police vehicle came came saw them. Looked at them and inspected their motorbikes and found that the bikes were stolen.
The 2 thieves were charged with theft, possession of ammunition and amphetamine paraphernalia.
The detained suspect will be further investigated and prosecuted according to the law.
