BANGKOK – June 12,2012 [PDN]; The local media reported that Pol.Col. Charern Srisalak and officers from Saimai police station had arrested Mr. Ngian or “Bee”, a Vietnamese national, who had been charged for kidnapping.
Mr. Ngian was brought to re-enact his crime in Soi Paholyothin 54/4, Saimai district. Moments later he escaped and hid for six hours up in a mango tree behind a house in the same Soi.
The police and the locals searched for the Vietnamese man on the rooftops of the houses with flashlights but they didn’t find him.
The police changed their tactic and left the immediate area to make him believe that they had gone. When the thief got tired he climbed down from the tree.
Immediately the house dog started barking at him. The police closed in and arrested the exhausted criminal who was added one more charge to kidnapping crime: escape from re-enactment. The next morning he was sent to Minburi provincial court to be prosecuted.
