Pattaya International Music Festival 2012 with more than 100 Thai and international artists scheduled from April 27-29 kicked off yesterday along Pattaya Beach Road.

PATTAYA – April 27, 2012[PDN]; On the Pink Stage in North Pattaya the grand opening was presided by Mr. Suraphol Sawetseranee, of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the chairman for the grand opening together with Mr. Sonthaya Khunpleum, ex-Minister of Tourism and Sports, Mr. Ithiphol Khunpleum, Pattaya Lord Mayor and Mr. Prakit Piriyakiert, Deputy Director of Marketing Communication, Tourism Authority of Thailand and many VIP guests.

Mr. Nitchakoon Horavetchakul of the famous 2PM band was the special guest invited by Tourism Authority of Thailand to kick off the music festival. Altogether more than 100 pop, rock, indy and hip-hop artists, musicians joined opening ceremony.

Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports joined together to set up Pattaya International Music Festival 2012 of the of biggest beach music festival in Asia. The TAT’s Chonburi office director added that the Pattaya Music Festival 2012 is part of the government initiated Miracle Year of Amazing Thailand 2012 project, which aims to boost the tourist revenue.

 

The festival will run for 3 days and 3 nights from 27 through 29 April Starting at 17:00 hours until late every night.

Pattaya International Music Festival 2012
Location: Pattaya beach road from North Pattaya to South Pattaya.
A distance more than 3 km. This year there are six stages. One near the Dusit Resort North Pattaya; the Pink stage, at Soi 4 along Pattaya beach; the Green stage in North Pattaya, near Hard Rock Cafe; the Blue stage. Central Pattaya, between Soi 10 and Soi 11 along Pattaya beach; Violet stage, Central Festival, between Soi 12 and 13, along Pattaya beach; Orange stage, Royal Garden at the beginning of Soi Pattaya land 2; Three Color Stage.

Some of Thailand’s top superstars will join the festival such as; Nitchakun Horavetchakul, Film Ratthaphum, Potato Band, Toomtam The Star, Dan Voravech, Chin Chinnavooth, Bank Clash, Da Endrophine, and Kala Band.

Approximately 500,000 people Thai and international tourists are expected to visit the 10th Pattaya Music Festival. Anticipated revenue not less than 1,000 million THB.
