California WOW Fitness Bankrupt Sued By Bangkok Bank

Share
Bangkok Bank Plc has sued Thailand's biggest fitness operator: California WOW Xperience Plc (CAWOW).

Bangkok Bank, the creditor, filed a lawsuit after the company was unable to service debts totalling 75.87 million THB (debt of 71.90 million THB and default interest of 3.97 million THB).
The report said CAWOW, founded by Mr. Eric Levine, “is continuing to make progress on the existing rehabilitation plan”.

There have been consumer complaints about the fitness company, which sells lifetime memberships but regularly closes facilities. Members have also complained about below standard services and breach of contract details, according to the Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB).

I got a lifetime membership at Calif WOW and been going to the gym every other day. I have NEVER been approached inside the gym and at one time, they would ask me when I walked by if I was interested in a membership. I was 100% with the equipment, staff and how clean everything was kept. 6/23/12 I have gone to the gym but it has been closed for the past 2 days, no posted reason.??????

I agree. I have always hated this brash approach, loud dance music; crowded facilities, and so on. There are so many better gyms around that offer a much less stressful and relaxing place to work out. It doesn't surprise me that Wow have gone bust.

I hope they go down the tubes, this companies policies are terrible and the experience they offer is just as bad.

They badger you even if your a member, it got so bad i stopped going to wow after i signed up and paid as i was tired of being drilled every day just approaching the place.

This gorilla marketing it a total turn off.
I will never set foot in wow again, even if they returned 2x my money, they can keep that.
