PATTAYA – March 27, 2012 [PDN]; Pol. Lt. Vitsanu Chaisuwan, Pattaya station, Chonburi province arrested Mr. “A” age 17, handicapped with one small bag of ya-ice, weight 0.58 g riding a Yamaha motorbike, model Fino, brown-white color, red license number 8-1980 Pattaya.
After the police arrested Mr. “A” at a shop in Soi Kor Phai Soi 5 they searched him and found ya-ice hidden in his trousers.
The suspect confessed that he had bought the ya-ice from a gang called the “Chinese cemetery”.
The police believed that Mr. “A” is an agent so they brought him in for investigation.
Mr. “A” confessed that he had stolen the motorbike and switched the license plate.
The police inspected the engine number of the motorbike and found that the motorbike belonged to Ms. Serm Rungreung, age 54 address 444/1165 Moo 12 Tambon Nong Preu, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province.
The owner of the motorbike had parked the bike in front of a dormitory beside the main road and later it was stolen by Mr. “A”.
She reported she had lost her motorbike on March 20, 2012 to the Banglamung police station . The police informed Ms. Serm to come and confirm the ownership of her motorbike.
Later, the police brought Mr. “A” to his rental room in Soi Thepprasit 7 where the police found equipment for stealing motorbikes and four license plates of the stolen motorbikes:
1. NGOR CHOR LOR-180 Chonburi
2. NGOR CHOR JOR-26 Chonburi
3. JOR NGOR KOR-766 Chonburi
4. NGOR-1616 Sattahip
Also, two green books belonging to motorbikes with the license number: JOR KHOR KOR-833 Chonburi and KHOR YOR THOR-236 Chonburi, and six helmets.
The suspect confessed that all of the license plates were from the stolen motorbikes originating from Pattaya and nearby areas.
After he stole the motorbikes he would switch the license plates and sell the bikes to his friends for 2,000-5,000 THB per bike.
The suspect confessed that he had stolen more than 10 motorbikes but he claimed that he did it alone.
The police will interrogatete Mr. “A”. He is charged with drug possession and theft.
