PATTAYA – March 21, 2012 [PDN]; Pol. Lt. Monthol Puimul, Banglamung police station Chonburi province co-ordinated with Pol. Lt. Vitsanu Chaisuwan to arrest a teenage thief riding a Honda Wave 125, light green-bronze, with no license plate.
The suspect snatched the handbag off Ms. Jarunee Sudasri, age 26, a clerk at Central Festival Pattaya department store.The incident occurred at Pattaya train station while the victim was riding a motorbike to go back home. After snatching the handbag the thief escaped with the victim’s handbag on a motorbike direction Wat Nongyai.

After being notified, Pol. Lt. Vitsanu Chaisuwan, Pattaya police station with police team and volunteer police assisted to arrest the thief. The thief was identified as Mr. Udom Sutakan age, 32 address: 65 Moo 10 Tambon Dongkanyai, Khamkeunkaew, Yasothorn province. The suspect had hidden the license plate under the seat which was identified as KOR LOR LOR-447 Chonburi.
Later, Pol. Lt. Monthol Puimul, Deputy Inspector Banglamung police station together with Ms. Jarunee Sudasri identified the suspect to confirm to arrest. Ms. Jarunee said that, after she finished work she rode her motorbike with her 3-year-old daughter to buy food on the way home.And suddenly the thief rode his motorbike beside her and pulled off her handbag and escaped.

She decided to follow the thief and shouted for the police to help her tom arrest the thief. Mr. Udom, the thief, confessed that he snatched the victim’s handbag. He said he was unemployed and needed the money. He used to work as a security guard but was fired. He added said that, after he snatched the bag. he dropped it on Sukhumvit road nearby Soi Siam Country Club.
The police found the handbag and it was used as evidence. The suspect has been detained and will be investigated and according to the Thai law. The police believes that suspect has committed more bag snatching crimes.
