Pattaya Cops Crack Down On Prostitution & Gambling – 100 Hookers & 8 Gamblers Caught

Pattaya police arrested 100 beach roaming hookers charged pestering people in public areas to buy their sexual services. The police arrested and fined them each 100 THB then warned before releasing them. In addition, the police caught 8 dice gamblers on the same day.

PATTAYA – February 29,2012 [PDN]; Pol.Lt.Col. Kittitat Kanchai, Crime Control Inspector Pattaya police and a team 30 police officers arrested 100 female and transsexual prostitutes pestering tourists and locals on Pattaya beaches.

The prostitutes were 19-35 years old. They were each fined 100 THB and issued a stern warning before the police let them go.

Later the police raided a known dice gambling den located in a house without number next to Nada antique shop, in Soi Bua Khao, Middle Pattaya. The police arrested 8 gamblers; the two house owners, Mr.Somkid Kongpluem, age 32 and Ms. Yupin Sangsri, age 37.

And the 6 gamblers: Mr.Nipai Kongsalao, age 38, Ms. Siriporn Suksawat, age 38, Ms. Kesinee Kaopadee, age 30, Ms. Roong Chandakon, age 40, Mrs.Boonruang Natteekan, age 50, Mrs.Sharinrat Oonkaee, age 40. All of them charged with illegal gambling.

The police seized their gambling equipment and the money before sending the suspects to Pattaya police station for further investigation.
