Pol. Lt. Col. Viphop Varaphoe, Bangkaew police station, Samutprakarn province was notified by staff from Piyamin hospital about a female who was stabbed to death.
At the local hospital the police found the corpse of Ms. Jittravadee Paenthong age 18, student at Ratchadamri school, Pravet District, Bangkok. The dead student was dressed in a T-shirt and shorts and was found with 8 knife wounds at her breasts, 17 wounds in the back, one wound in the right arm and two wounds in left arm, totally 28 knife wounds.
The murder occurred at a house in 12/86 Moo 14 Soi Premreuthai 14 Moo 14 Bangkaew, Bangplee, Samutprakarn province. Inside the house the police team found blood in the room and traces of a fight.
Questioning Mrs. Kaneungsuk Paenthong age 40, the mother of Ms. Jittravadee said that, after Ms. Jittravadee returned from school, she was alone in the rented room.
The mother went to buy food at the market in the village. When she came back to the room she found that the door was locked and saw a pool of blood in front of the door.
The owner of the house opened the door with a spare key and they found found Ms. Jittravadee stabbed and bleeding profusely.
The mother asked for assistance from the neighbours to send her daughter to the hospital.
A witness nearby said that, at the time of the murder they heard the victim crying and screaming for help.
After the murder the police arrested 4 Burmese workers who were staying in a rented room nearby. One of the Burmese had earlier quarrelled with the victim.
The police assumes that the killer knew the victim her daily movements.
Regarding the motive for the murder the police believes that the murderer tried to rape the victim but she resisted so he killed her or it was a robbery.
The police is on the case and will soon arrest the murderer who will be will be prosecuted according to the Thai law.
