Two Sattahip Siblings Caught Selling “Ya-Ice” & Bribing Cops

In a undercover operation Sattahip police arrested a major drug dealer, "Khwan" Dharmavittaya also a fish vendor at Sattahip market. Mr. "Khwan" was arrested in possession of 15 grams of crystal methamphetamine. Later his sister came to Sattahip police station and tried to bribe the cops with 400,000 THB in cash for his immediate release.

Sattahip, February 3, 2012 [PDN]: Pol.Col.Somchai Soontavanik, and Pol.Lt.Col.Nipon Pomsanam Sattahip police station arrested Mr.Viroj Changarm alias “Khwan” age 31 and Miss Vilai Channgarm “Joy” age 27 two fish vendors, sister and brother residing at 34/17 Soi Dharmavittaya, Sattahip,Chonburi. The siblings were charged with possession of illegal drugs and bribery.

Sattahip police in an undercover operation pretended to buy 5 grams of crystal methamphetamine, “ice” from Mr “Khwan” for 10,500 THB. The money was transferred to account number : 3414018212 of Sattahip branch, Bangkok Bank and an appointment was made in front of house number: 14/76 Soi Yang Ngam, Sattahip.

Later the police arrested Mr. “Khwan” while he was driving a Toyota Vigo pickup license number Thor Sor 3357 Bangkok.Checking the vehicle the police found 10 grams of ice hidden inside the pickup truck. When Ms. “Joy” found out her brother was arrested she contacted Pol.Lt.Thanasak Prasartthong and brought 400,000 THB in cash to bribe the police for her brother’s freedom in return.

Pol.Col Somchai Soonthavanik, Sattahip police station, said that Viroj Dharmavittaya alias “Khwan” is a known drug dealing ex. Rayong jail inmate. Mr. Viroj has been arrested several times for drug offences. His criminal record shows he has been selling drugs since he was 22 years of age.
