Pattaya, January 30, 2012 [PDN]; Pol. Lt. Gen. Dr. Panya Mamen, Commissioner of Region 2 Police and teams from two police stations raided a suspected house, presumed be the operational center of the telephone scam.
The house located in Suanroongroj village address 678/58 Na Klua, Banglamung was under surveillance after detecting there were Korean people moving in and out of the house in a suspicious manner.

Upon entering the house the police found 12 South Koreans and one Thai woman, the maid. The police seized call center equipment: 12 desktop computers, two notebook computers, and telephones. The computers contained evidence of money transfers and multiple customer lists.
All the twelve Koreans were arrested including the gang leader Mr. Kukdo Kim age 33. The South Koreans gang members have been charged with working in the Kingdom without work permission. The police will contact the South Korean Embassy to make sure all the victims of the scam are contacted.
