“D Kohkae” Wins Pattaya God Drift 2011

Drift God 2011 last rounds was won by won by D Kohkae - no surprise. The competition was held in Pattaya and divided into two rounds, on Saturday 14 January the 4th (Class A-B),and Sunday 15 January at 14:00. Location: the parking Bali-Hai cape’s harbor, the 5th (Class A-B) , thereafter the winner was announced.

This competition consisted of 70 teams. Top Thai and international drifters.

Thailand was strongly represented by famous drifters . , such as, Kiki Sak Nana-Red Bull team, Pete Thongchua-PTT PERFORMA team, M The Star-PTT PERFORMA team, Jojo Pop, DJ Darwin, Day Derico of Seed FM-PTT PERFORMA, D Kohkae and many more.

The was electricity in the air as the even tent kicked off. The competition tough. . Engines roaring. Power on. A few laps later in the race No.2 Kiki’s Nissan Silvia was too heavy on the throttle and hit a barrier and was out of the competition. The top driver “Pete” Thongchua-PTT team his car, No.5 had a major engine failure.

The winner, the “champion” was announced around midnight. The winner had have the highest total scores from five rounds through 2011.

Expected winners were 1. D Kohkae 2.. Chu Smachai RED BULL TEAM 3.. Kiki Sak Nana RED BULL TEAM 4.. JojoPop PTT PERFORMA.

And the winner… D Kohkae. Which was expected.

“A spokesperson for Only On Co.,Ltd. for 10 years the official sponsor of the competition said, “I’ve seen drifting in Thailand developing as an international motor sport. I have always wanted to take Thai drifting to the international competition level and make it more popular for the spectators. And motivate Thai drifters to participate in international drifting tournaments.”
