Sattahip Girl Student Scared By A Thinner Sniffing Stalker

A female high school student and villagers were frightened by a thinner sniffer who was harassing and stalking the student in Baan Taotarn neighbourhood.

Sattahip, January 13, 2012 [PDN]; Ms. Somreudee Roongroj or “Chompu” age 18, a high school student of Singsamut school 39/16 Moo 4 Tambon, Sattahip, Chonburi province, Soi Sukhumvit 13, contacted the Baan Taotarn community police regarding a long haired thinner sniffing man always following her in the morning when she was going to school.

The suspect was riding a blue Honda Wave, license number KOR THOR LOR-776 Chonburi. He usually parked on the side walk and followed her sometimes she had to run away. The man also followed her neighbours.

Senior Pol. Sgt. Maj. Seksan Phumpuang, detained Mr. Kamphol Soisakul or “Tai” age 35, a construction worker, address unknown. The police said, that Mr. Kamphol hasn’t done anything wrong but they warned him. If he does it again, he will be prosecuted according to the law.

Recently, Ms. Somreudee Roongroj’s grandmother walked out from the house and the man followed her closely which made her grandmother nervous and she had to run back to the house, frightened.

Ms. Somreudee said that if the police will not intervene one day he might commit a serious crime. Then, who will be responsible?

The police warned him about the illegal thinner sniffing. But did not take any action.

A thinner sniffer? Is it just me or is this utterly meaningless? Do they mean a stalker? And I'm curious, if he hasn't broken the law, as the police say, if he continues the same behavior under what law will he be prosecuted?
