Most of the passengers were students were from Sattahip Technical College, Agriculture College and Chonburi & Sattahip Vittayakom school travelling daily Sattahip market which is more than 20 km from their colleges.
Pol. Col. Somchai Soonthavanick, Sattahip police station said, that many people, parents and teachers had complained with Sattahip police station regarding the overloaded songthaews also driving at high speed and endangering the lives of the passengers, pedestrians and other road users.
Sattahip police used to arrest the drivers who had broken the traffic and safety rules. Pol. Col. Somchai, said he will confiscate their driving licenses and prosecute the drivers who do not comply with traffic safety laws.
