Pol. Maj. Gen. Supisarn Pakdeenareunart, Commissioner set up the project according to the policy of Pol. Lt. Gen. Pongpat Chayapan, Commissioner and Pol. Col. Nattakorn Prapayon, Superintendent, Pattaya police.

Pattaya,December 30, 2011[PDN]; Pol. Maj. Gen. Supisarn said that for this project, he has invited volunteers who are owners of shops, the public and government officers from Walking Street Pattaya to protect and help solve problems of crime during new year festival when there are a lot of people and tourists traveling to Pattaya. The Crime Suppression Division will check the surroundings so as to be sure it is not beneficial for thieves. Including such things as changing the bins to a see-through plastic, improve the CCTV equipment to be able to record footage both day and night and adjust for wider vision of the cameras. Also cleaning places so that teenagers assembling will be easily seen if a crime should occur.

Pol. Maj. Gen. Supisarn said that he had told officers to inspect areas such as abandoned houses, decayed areas, motels etc. and ask for the cooperation from the general public to immediately notify the police if any trouble occurs such as drunkenness, molestation of woman, etc. to protect for body, life and property.
