An unemployed Buriram auto mechanic and amphetamine addict travels to Rayong province by-the-sea looking for work and meets a drug dealer cum agent in Rayong persuading the mechanic to sell amphetamines at the Thai navy camp, Sattahip naval base. DEA undercover agents arrest him with 184 amphetamine tablets.

Sattahip, November 15, 2011[PDN]; Captain Suranan Saengrattanakul, Head of Special Operation/Center of the Drug Enforcement Agency, Sattahip naval base, Chonburi province together with his team arrest Mr. Veera or ”Ton” Saengpetch age 25, ex-car mechanic from Buriram province, charged with sales of amphetamine; quantity 184 tablets and banknotes amounting to: 21,500 THB.

The arrest is made using a DEA spy or undercover agent to make a ”purchase” of 184 amphetamine tablets from the dealer and deliver the drugs at the entrance the Command Unit of Marine Corps Navy in Sattahip. The dealer, the suspect, ”Ton” was arrested on the spot while sending the amphetamine tablets to to the spy.

Upon investigation Mr. Veera, ”Ton”, the suspect confessed. He said that he used to be an auto mechanic in Amphur Nangrong, Buriram province. But also an amphetamine addict therefore he was fired. He travels to Rayong applies for work, meets a young man who persuads him to sell amphetamines at the Sattahip Navy Camp. His first drug delivery is successful: 200 amphetamine tablets. Second time is arrested.
