Chonburi, November 2, 2011[PDN]; Mr. Vichit Chartpaisit, Governor of Chonburi province visited Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate to inspect the parking lot and the hiring of a workforce consisting of 20,000 to 30,000 persons. At the site Mr. Viboon Kromdit, the Committee Chairman of the operation and Chief Operating Officer of Amata Corporation Public Company Limited welcomed the Governor.
Mr.Viboon Kromadit, said that due to the massive flooding in the central parts of Thailand he had arranged to assist those who were unemployed and provide relief to the flood stricken people. Therefore Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate, Chonburi province together with Amata City Industrial Estate, Rayong province will hire a 20,000-30,000 strong workforce to expand the capacity of production and urge the investors to invest in the 80 new factories part of the expansion plan.

The impact of the recent massive floods on the Thai economy, especially the flooded industrial estates is enormous. But it is expected that most of the industrial estate can open for production again around April, 2012. Mr. Viboon believes that the foreign investors still come to Thailand, especially to the Eastern Seaboard which has a high industrial capability. Chonburi province is popular among foreign investors with a high potential for investment which has been seen by the strong growth of all industrial estates in the area. Chonburi province has the inftrastructure required as well as all public utilities such as transportation, water and electricity. And is located only 57 kilometers from Bangkok.
