Pattaya, October 27, 2011[PDN]; The government announced that October 27-31, 2011 will be a public holiday in 21 provinces including Bangkok since there is a strong fear that Bangkok city and suburbs will be hit by massive floods. The exodus of caused a heavy outbound traffic on the Bangkok- Pattaya expressways and motorways.
Condominiums, rental houses,and rented rooms in Pattaya are complety full. Detached houses and town houses are in heavy demand especially by big families. The second most popular object is a large apartment, condominium.

Some Bangkokians had signed a long term contract for six months and moved in more than 40 % of their belongings because they are afraid that the floods in Bangkok may last longer than expected. But most of the people plan to stay a short period of time; one week up to two months.
Mr. Suchai, the owner of many rental houses in Jomtien revealed that he understands the desperate and stressed Bangkokians so he lowered his prices by almost 20 %. But some landlords are using the flood situation to increase the price of their rented houses or force the Bangkokians to sign a long term contract.
