Young German Falls To His Death From 7th Floor

A 25-year-old German falls from Pattaya hotel balcony room and dies of massive injuries. Police assumes alcohol or suicide as the cause of death.

Pattaya, October 20, 2011[PDN]; Pattaya Police was notified about a dead foreigner who had fallen off a building at 13:00 hrs.

The Sawangboribul Foundation, brought Mr. Schaubler to Pattaya Memorial Hospital where he was announced dead on arrival by the doctor on duty.
Later the police identified the dead man as Mr. Johann Nicolas Sabian Schaubler age 25, Germans citizen. His left leg, the right arm and skull were fractured.

The accident occurred at a hotel in the middle of Soi 10, Pattaya, Second Pattaya road, Moo 9, Tambon Nong Preu, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province. The police inspected the hotel and found that Mr. Schaubler had rented room number 701 on the 7 floor. Nothing suspicious was found in the room or on the balcony, except for bottles of imported alcohol in the room. The police also inspected the area on the ground where Mr. Schaubler fell to his death but found only a pool of blood.

Mr. Rithiwitchaya Jankul age 36, General Manager of the hotel said that Mr. Scahubler had checked in on October 8 and was supposed to check out October 24. He stayed alone and used to bring prostitutes to his room.

On October 19 the day of his demise, nobody saw him fall from the balcony. But one employee heard a thump at the back of the hotel and found the German man lying on the ground severly injured. The rescue team arrived and rushed him to Pattaya Memorial Hospital whre he was announced dead on arrival.

The the police assumes that Mr. Scaubler got drunk and sat on the balcony rail and accidetally fell to his death or commited suicide.

The Pattaya police will send the corpse for post-mortem examination and co-ordinate with the German Embassy to inform the relatives of the deceased.

The rich farang misbehave. I hope never to hear that Thailand's continental Asian neighbors mistreat their vacation destination in the same way as Germans and Japanese in Thailand. They don't respect others but ultimately are not respecting themselves so they get drunk, become confused from too much misbehavior and fall off balconies.

The height of balcony rails in most of the hotels are not referring to blueprints and laws whether they serve protection for tall non-asians. Just a hint for the city hall to prevent such accidents in the future. A developer.

Pattaya sure has become a very dangerous place for a farang.They keep falling out of the sky and the ones that does not fall by accident due to being drunk is said to commitsuicide.Hmmmmm . . . better to stay in Bangkok I think
