Shoddy electric wiring causes short circuit, fire and panic in Soi Nern Plubwaan

Pattaya, October 18, 2011[PDN]; Mr. Mai Chaiyanit, Mayor, Nong Preu municipality was notified about a fire at the electricity post in front of the mosque in Plubwaan Moo 6, Tambon Nong Preu, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province.

At the scene, the fire brigade officer found that the high voltage electric post which was tangled with cable wires, telephone lines, and electric wires had caused the fire. The fire was burning intensely and it took the fire brigade 10 minutes to put it out.

 

After the fire was put out a fireman found that there were unused telephone lines and cable wires mixed with the new lines on pole.

Upon investigation it was found that a short circuit had caused the fire. The total cost of the damage cannot be estimated yet. The Telephone Organization of Thailand (TOT) has been informed.
