Pattaya (October 15, 2011) [PDN] Pol. Lt. Col. Thailert Leupeu , Pattaya police, Kong Dongtarn sub branch, Chonburi province was notified about a violent traffic accident with one dead and one severely injured. The accident occurred on Jomtien Second Road near the entrance to Rom Poe market Moo 12 Tambon Nong Preu.
At the scene the police and Sawangboribul Foundation officers found the dead body of Ms. Papussara Chaikaew age 27 address: 90 Moo 12 Tambon Baandaeng, Amphur Pibulrak, Udornthani province a bargirl working in Jomtien beach. The body was lying on the tarmac in a pool of blood. Nearby the police found an unconscious, injured woman, the police assumes she is the friend of the deceased. The Sawangborubul team assisted first aid and she was sent to Banglamung hospital.
The witnesses reported that they saw the two women crossing the road after finishing work. A white car driving at high speed hits the two women leading to one dead and one injured. The eye witnesses do not know the brand nor the model of the vehicle but they remember the last two digits of license number ending with 40.
This was a deadly hit-and-run accident. The car didn’t stop but instead sped up to escape. The police tried to catch the driver but to no avail.
The corpse is at Banglamung hospital awaiting autopsy. The police will inspect the CCTV footage and all the gathered evidence in oder to arrest the driver.
