Laemchabang, October 2, 2011[PDN]; Pol. Capt. Nitiphoom Bootwong Banglamung Police was notified about a fatal shooting at the car park of the National Housing Association Laemchabang, Moo 4 Tambon, Banglamung, Chonburi province,
At the scene the police found a pool of blood on the marble table and three gun shot damaged vehicles.The man with gunshot wounds who died on the way to Laemchabang Inter Hospital was identified as Mr. Prasert Rungseekul age 38, working as assistant at Pattaya volunteer police. He was shot through the heart and a his left wrist.
The initial investigating revealed that the before the shooting took place Mr. Prasert (the deceased) was drinking alcohol with friends at the marble table, next to the car park between the buildings. Suddenly a man on a motorbike arrived and parked nearby. Called the name of Mr. Prasert and when he turned to look at biker Mr Prasert was shot three times. The killer escaped on his motorcycle.
The police assumes that the gunman had carefully planned to kill Mr.Prasert.But has not yet found a motive for the killing due to the fact that the dead was an assistant volunteer police in Nong Kham and Banglamung. This area is known for it’s drug dealers and other criminals.Mr Prasert might have had issues with ya-ba dealers and related gangsters which led to his killing. The case is under police investigation.
