The inhabitants of Nongprue district in Chonburi province filed a complaint to a Member of the House of Representatives regarding solving the problem of the usage of highway no. 7

Pattaya – September 25 2011 (PDN) Mr. Athroj Thnasinpiyarom and Mr. Chalor Kasemsiri, the representative of the people in Nongprue district submitted the documents to ask for assistance from Mr. Poramet Ngarmpichet, the Member of the House of Respresentatives, Chonburi province, Phalang Chon Party to consult and co-ordinate with the government in solving the transportation problem in Nongprue district, Chonburi province.

Mr. Athiroj said that after the Department of Highways built highway no. 7 section 5, the route from road number 36 Kratinglai-Rayong which is convenient for those coming from Bangkok. But the locals in Nong Preu district cannot use the road to the highway no. 7 since they have to make an illegal and dangerous u-turn which has already caused accidents.

Therefore the local people of Nongprue want the government to solve this problem as soon as possible.

And in the meantime they will just continue to break the law and go the wrong way on the Highway off-ramp, just like the 3 cars in the photo. Typical Thailand to ignore the law if it doesn't suit them - happens everywhere in Thailand. Enforcement of the road laws are a joke.

If the police would issue tickets to the illegal drivers this would stop the accidents. Thai drivers are so lazy to follow driving laws. The thinking its ok to drive the wrong way on a road just because they are too lazy to drive the right way needs to stop.
If the police would do their job many accidents could be avoided.
