Parents of Assumption Sriracha College complain regarding the teacher who slapped a student in the face. "Improper behaviour by the teacher in question", Ministry of Education. A further investigation has been launched.

Sriracha (September 20, 2011) (PDN) Eight parents of Assumption Sriracha College high school students have complained about the behaviour of Ms. Wilawan Eaamvijarn the teacher who slapped Mr.Suranat Topanich’s face in the music classroom. The teacher also slapped another student in the face and scolded the parents about their children’s behaviour and said this the way to punish the disorderly students according to Ministry of Education (MoE).

Parents say that the teachers should control their emotions and not behave like this.

The parents reported that eight students had been slapped in the their faces by this teacher recently. Therefore they sent a complaint letter to the school on September 6, 2011.

The school sent the parents an apology letter but without punishing the teacher.

Next, they went to complain to the headmaster. The school laid off the teacher for two months and promised that this would not happen again. The parents think this punishment was too soft. They want the school to fire the teacher, because there were more than a hundred of students who were slapped by her.

So, the parents went to Sriracha police. The teacher paid a fine. But the angry parents were unsatisfied and they went to see Brother Sirichai Fonceega, the Dean of Assumption Collage with a notice to fire the teacher. Brother Sirichai said that he will investigate and consider the matter.

A journalist who was refused an interview with the Dean Brother Sirichai Fonceega was informed that the Dean does not want to talk to the media.

The parents said they will wait for the Dean, Brother Sirichai’s response. If they are not satisfied with the punishment they will proceed further according to the Thai law.

Shows how stpid teachers they employ from what she said. MoE regulations strictly prohibit teachers from hitting children. She should not be allowed to teach simply becasue she is clearly so stupid she does not even know the law.

Maybe if more of these boys got some real discipline, they would not end up as 30 year old "men" with about the same level of emotional maturity as a typical 12 year old.
