Sattahip, September 15, 2011 [PDN] Mr Pichit Kleakkuthan the head of Sawangrojjanatham Foundation rescue team Sattahip, Chonburi province was notified by Mrs Premmika Phadungprasert age 26, address 97/2 Moo 1 Tambon Bangsarei, Chonburi province. She said saw two paragliders flying in the sky, west of Khao Morn.
Suddenly, in a gust of wind they disappeared out of sight.

The police and the rescue service arrived at scene together with local people after walking through the forest into the valley.
Later, the navy pilot sub-lieutenant Sorasak Raksong age 46 was was found in the valley. He was not injured.

Sub-lieutenant Sorasak Raksong said he and his fellow club members had never encountered problems flying their paragliders. But as he he was flying west of Khao Morn, at an altitude of approximately 200 meters, there was a severe gust of wind which caused the canopy to collapse. The aircraft stalled and he hit a big tree in the midst of a forest. Moments later he climbed up to Khao Morn and was saved later by the rescue team.
