Pattaya, August 23, 2011 [PDN]; Pol.Lt.Col. Ratta Pratumkaew Pattaya Police was informed about a murder of foreigner in Jomthien Complex, room 414/398 22 th floor. At the scene they found the dead body of Mr Charles Jones, aged 56, single, New Zealand citizen. The dead body showed signs of multiple stab wounds. Upon investigation following items were found missing: one notebook computer and one mobile phone.
The CCTV footage showed that about 22.00 hrs Mr Charles Jones, entered Jomthien Complex in the company of a man with middle-eastern features. Witnesses from a neighbouring room say they heard intense quarrel in English from the room. Later the noise subsided. The next afternoon Mr Charles Jones, dead body was found.

Further investigation revealed that Mr Charles Jones was the president of the World Croquet Federation. He was much liked and respected in the croquet sport community and he was also known to like persons of the same sex. Mr Jones had arrived in Thailand two days earlier and he had planned to stay and travel in Thailand for six weeks. He was known to enjoy socialising and always went pubs, bars and entertainment centers.
The police has a clear idea who the suspect is but cannot at this time reveal any further details but is expected arrest the murderer soon.
Kiwi croquet chief found dead in Thailand
A New Zealand citizen, who was also president of the World Croquet Federation, has been killed in Thailand.
