Pattaya, August 18, 2011[PDN] ; Pol.Capt. Thanasit Keanleum, Pattyaya Police was informed by Mr Bharat Bhoshan, 54, Iranian citizen to arrest the ladyboy who snatched his golden chain at Soi 6 on the beach road in Nonprue.
Later at the same scene, the suspected lady boy Mr Napat Chamnanpoj, age 28, address 62/4 Moo 5 Takham, Kaibangrajan, Singburi, was caught by the victim and his Iranian friend.
The victim reported to the police that on the night of August 13, 2011, as he and his friend were went for a walk along the beach near Hard Rock Hotel, Pattaya, he was snatched off his golden chain by two lady boys offering them the sexual services. The value of the stolen gold chain was estimated to about 30,000 THB. The theft was reported to Pol Lt. Col Prateab Thongdee, Pattaya Police who issued a search warrant for suspects. As for the capture of the suspect, the Iranian and his friend went to look for the suspects at the scene of the crime and found the lady boy Mr Napat. When the suspect saw the two Iranians he tried to escape but was caught by the victim and his friend.
The suspect denied the accusation and claimed that he had never known the victim. But the victim and his friend insisted that the ladyboy was the thief. The lady boy was detained for further investigation and legal prosecution.
