Pattaya, August 12, 2011 [PDN] ; Pol.Lt.Col. Nuttawat Srithongpetch, Pattaya Police was informed of a fatal collision between a car and a motorbike at the intersection in front of Potisampanpittayakarn School, Pattaya-Nakleu Road.

At the scene, 50 meters from the intersection the police found the body of Mr Aumneuy Saimai, age 46, a motorbike taxi rider lying down on the road. His wife and children were crying over his body. A Honda Wave motorbike, registration NgorKorkhor 31 Chonburi was found near the dead man. The driver of the car had fled the scene. Nearby the motorbike police found the bumper of the car and it’s registration plate, KorYor 9175 Chonburi.

The victim’s son told the police that his father was working as motorcycle taxi rider at soi Nakleu 14. Before the accident, his father went to work as normal. Later, the boy, his sister and his mother were informed that his father had been killed in an accident.
There was no witnesses at the scene of the accident. However, the police assumes that the victim rode his motorbike heading to Naklua and the car driving at high-speed hit from behind at the intersection. The victim and his motorbike were dragged away by the car away about 50 meters.The suspect fled the scene. The bumper and the vehicle registration number were found on the road. The police is searching for the driver with help of the registration plate.
