Royal Cliff Team Wins The Free Style Fruit & Vegetable Carving Competition

The team from the Royal Cliff Beach, Pattaya wins the Free-style Fruit & Vegetable Carving Showpiece Competition at the Pattaya Food & Hoteliers Expo 2011.

Pattaya, August 7, 2011[PDN]; At the 5th Pattaya Food & Hoteliers Expo 2011 held at the PEACH, Royal Cliff Beach Resort Pattaya draw a large audience to see the Free-style Fruit & Vegetable Carving Showpiece competition. Ten teams from various hotels in Thailand. Two persons per team had to select three types of fruits and vegetables and to carve and decorate them in according to the rules of the competition.

The results were judged on the basis of technique, difficulty of the carving, the art work, elaboration, creativity, attraction, harmony, identity and practicality.

The winning team of the Free- style Fruit & Vegetable Carving Showpiece Competition was the Royal Hotel Group.” Spirit of Art”. Their work was an dedication the soul,the spirit and earnestness.

The winners; Ms Bumpen Keangreang, age 27 and Ms Surirat Yantapan said that the award brought them pride and confidence to further create and develop fruit and vegetable carvings.

Mr Surasak Kongsawas ” Acharn Noi”, the judge, stated that this year the competitors all displayed high standard works so it was difficult to select a winner. However, he was happy that more young people attended the carving competition, and he believes that Thai carving heritage will continue to develop and reach an international level.
