Pattaya, July 31, 2011 (PND), Pol.Maj. Kriengkriwut Buakla, Pattaya Police was informed of the death of a foreigner at the Viewtalay Condominium. The police and Sawangbooriboon Rescue team rushed to the condominium.
At the scene on the parking lot of the Viewtalay Condominium the police found the body of Mr Alexander Korrzhavin, 39, Russian national, lying prone on the ground his limbs were broken and his skull was factured. Mr Boonjan Haronnakrai, 29, the condominium security guard reported to the police that he heard someting fall to the ground with loud thump. He rushed to the scene and found the victim’s body.

After investigation, the police found that the victim had fallen from room number
1339/752 on the 14 th floor. In the room, a Russian woman, the occupant of the room and the victim’s friend was in shock, crying. She reported to the police that the victim came to see her in a drunken and confused state. He went to see her as he wanted to calm down after having a querreled with his wife. Before the incident, he went to sit on the balcony and told her that he been arguing with his wife. He had also been drinking. Soonafter, he stepped up on the chair and jumped off the balcony. She also informed the police that the victim’s wife was also her close friend.

The police did not find any traces of a fight on the balcony. The only evidence was the chair.
The victim’s wife still in shock and crying came to the scene with her 4-year-old daughter. She reported to the police that she and the victim resided at Pattaya Hill Hotel. Before the incident, she had a quarell with the victim and the victim left their room drunk and agitated. Later was informed about the victim’s death by her Russian’s friend.
The police will conduct a forensic autopsy and interrogate the victim’s friend and wife. The Russian Embassy will be informed accordingly.
