Pattaya, June 24, 2011 [PDN]: Pol. Lt. Col. Ratt Prathumkeaw Pattaya Police was informed by Mrs Suwarach Wetchawanlop, 79, address 185/2 Moo.12, Nongprue, Banglamung, Chonburi that she was swindled by the suspect who pretended to be to her friend. He managed to have her ATM card and withdraw 13,360 THB from her account. The police has the picture of the suspect from the CCTV with the suspect withdrawing money from the ATM machine.

The victim reported to the police that she was a retired teacher and her all pension money was in the bank account. The suspect swindled her by pretending to be her friend. She used to give her ATM card to the suspect to withdraw from the ATM machine. On this occasion the suspect also gave her smelling salts claiming that she needed it, as she was old. She trusted him and took until she was unconcious. After waking she knew that she had been drugged and found that 13,360 THB was missing from her account.
Pol. Lt. Col. Ratt stated that copies of the suspect’s pictures were distributed to the police team. An arrest warrant from Pattaya Court has been issued.
