Pattaya Grade 8 Student Rapes Grade 6 Student in School Toilet

A grade 6 female student was raped by a grade 8 male student who studies at the same Pattaya school. The rape took place in the restroom.

Pattaya,June 15, 2011 [PDN], Pol.Lt. Isadakorn Thepnao, Pattaya Police was informed by Ms “Kea” that her daughter, nicknamed “A” age 11 studying in grade 6 in a was raped by a grade 8 male student who studies at the same school in the school’s toilet.

The victim reported that in the evening of June 10, 2011 she went to the women’s toilet at her school. Upon exiting the toilet, she opened the door but she was pushed into the toilet by the boy name nicknamed “Ko”. He threatened her not to yell otherwise he would kill her. She did not resist him because of her fear and “Ko” took her clothes off and raped her once before escaping.

The victim did not tell anyone as she was ashamed until her aunt noticed that the victim was depressed and forced out the truth out of her.

The victim’s aunt stated that she saw how devastated the victim was so she went to find the truth from the victim’s friends and later discovered that her niece had been raped by the boy called “Ko”. The victim’s friend’s did tell the teacher but the teacher did not report the incident to the victim’s parents.

The police stated that the victim would be taken to the hospital for a rape examination. The police will continue the investigation and a a possible legal prosecution.

Later the suspect, “Ko” admitted he did it but he claimed that he and the victim liked each other and that the victim had asked him to come the toilet.

Pattaya, June 16, 2011 [PDN], The mother of the victim, the grade 6 student who was raped by the grade 8 student in the school’s toilet along with her cousins went to the victim’s school to see the teachers to find out the truth of the rape.

The victim’s mother stated that her daughter was made fun of by her friends around the school and that some teacher told her to forget the rape including the daughter’s teacher who knew about the rape but did not informed the victim’s parent.

The suspect, the grade 8 student was investigated by the police along with his parents and the victim. He admitted he did it but he claimed that he and the victim liked each other and that the victim asked him to come the toilet.

The school’s principal refused to give an interview to the reporter regarding the teacher who told the victim to forget the rape. The principal said he wanted to wait for the truth.

Mr. Wattana Jantharavaranon, Pattaya Deputy Mayor stated that a committee will be set up for the investigation of the teacher who did not tell the victim’s parents about the rape and the teacher who told the victim to forget the rape.

If the article is accurate,the teacher that withheld such information should be prosecuted as well as the rapists. This is Thailand, and the most that can be hoped for is a "reassignment" of duties, which seems to be the most severe punishment available. No mystery why such conduct by one charged with educating the masses is not all that uncommon.

This is really sad to see a young male person raping another young female, this is only in Thailand, a total Buddhist nation, there is something wrong with this country, the government, the school teachers, the students, this is such a sad sight to see and hear this sort of things happening in Thailand, Thailand should be rule like the regime of Burma where the strictest punishment are handed out to criminals with zero tolerances.
