Pattaya, 20 May 2011 [PDN]: At 10.00 p.m. Police Lieutenant Wirat Tetthong (Banglamung Police Investigator) visited Banglamung Hospital to investigate the death of a boy as informed by hospital staffs.
Investigators found apparent bite marks on the body of the two-year-old boy, especially in his buttocks.
The doctors also confirmed traces of semen in the boy’s anal area.
The step-mother, Pornchai Promsrichan, 34 admitted to the bite marks found on his body.
The gentle biting was simply her ways of showing love and adoration for the boy, Pornchai explained.

According to the nurses, the boy was brought in to the hospital by his step-mother who claimed that she found him unconscious at home.
Pornchai told the police the boy was crying a lot in the afternoon but then he fell asleep at around 5.00 p.m.
When she tried to wake him up, he did not open his eyes, Pornchai said adding that she immediately took him to the hospital.
The police and the medical staffs suspected that the step-mother had molested the child and may also be involved in his death.
However, Pornchai denied all accusations, stating that she already had a transgender operation.

The next morning on 21 May 2011, at 6.00 a.m. the police team visited J-Press village where the boy lived.
They searched the boy’s house for evidence and questioned the neighbours for information.
A neighbour told the police that the boy had never been seen outside his house to play like the other children in the neighbourhood.
The neighbour added that he heard a child’s crying coming from the house at around 2.00 p.m. on 20 May but then the crying stopped.
The loud crying is not an unusual incident because the boy has been heard crying nearly everyday, the neighbour commented.
The step-mother, Pornchai is detained for further questioning while the boy’s autopsy is being examined to determine the cause of death.
