Bangsan, 5th May 2011 [PDN]: A new party named “Palungchon”, meaning “Power of Water” was established.
The advisor of Palungchon party is Sontaya Khungpleum, who is the former Minister of Tourism and Sports. The party is also supported by his mother, Steel Khunpleum, whose husband is the former leader of Bangsan village.

The party leader is Chow Maniwong, the former president of Burapa University. There are many members and executives in the party that have the potentials to become Members of Parliament.
About 30,000 people have gathered to celebrate the establishment of Palungchon party, including local politicians, business personnel and traders.
However, there are no representatives from other parties such as Poom Jai Thai party to congratulate the formation of Palungchon.
Advisor Sontaya stated that his new party will win 15-20 MP seats or at least 12 seats in the Eastern area and Chonburi. He also said that his party will join Palang Kit Sungkom group.

Palungchon party will send out eight candidates to represent eight fields in Chonburi region. Their names and corresponding fields are as followed:
Field 1: Mr.Uchart Chomklin
Field 2: Mr. U-krit Tunsawat
Field 3: Mr.Onnathep Anuwat
Field 4: Mr.Samrit Wongwirat
Field 5: Mr. Pansak K ETWATTHA
Field 6: Mrs. Sukumol Khunpleum (Sontaya’s wife)
Field 7: Mr. Poramet Ngahm-Pichet
Field 8: Capt.Wiroj Wangkeawhirun
In other provinces such as Prachinburi, Roi Et, Sukhothai, Phitsanulok and Uttaradit, representatives are to be confirmed.
Moreover, five former MP from Kit Sangkom Party could potentially join the new party. Five probable candidates include Chayut Pooma Karnjana, Thewarit Nikorn Tet, Somjet Limprapan, Monchai Wiwattanat and Warut Siriwat.

The former minister of Public Health (also the father of candidate, Poramet Ngahm-Pichet in Field 7) Sansak Jaroon Ng-ampichet also join the grand opening of the party.
The Khunpleum family of the Eastern Sea board has shaken the political ground once again. At the opening ceremony, Palungchon party presented their nine policies in preparation for the upcoming election.
