For the past one decade, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has cooperated with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, GMM Grammy Public Company Limited and Pattaya City to organize the Pattaya International Music Festival. This annual event has been recognized as one of the largest international beach music festivals in Asia.
The festival is also aimed to increase Pattaya’s tourism throughout the world. TAT Governor, Mr Suraphon Svetasreni, says “The Pattaya International Music Festival is one of TAT’s key tourism marketing programmes designed to stimulate tourism and promote Pattaya’s image as a family beach destination and also as a city of music on the Eastern Seaboard. The event reflects state and private sector cooperation. It also enhances the international visibility of the destination.”
The Pattaya International Music Festival 2011 will be supported by multiple media and entertainment channels such as Modern Nine TV, GMM TV, @-Time Media, GMM Broadcasting, Channel [V] Thailand, Sawasdee Station TV Programme, and TVB 8 (Hong Kong).
This popular music festival is regarded as “The Longest Beach Music Festival In Asia” in which four stages are set up at different areas in Pattaya City, Chonburi, starting at 6pm till midnight. Ms Boosaba Daorueng, CEO of GMM Grammy explained, “There are four concert stages: Galaxy Stage located on Laem Bali Hai, Moon Stage on Pattaya Soi 4, Universal Stage at Central Pattaya and Reggae Stage at South Pattaya.
“We have also invited over one hundred famous Thai and foreign artists to perform in our three-day event. Musical performances will feature different styles of music such as Pop, Hip-Hop, R&B, Rock, etc”, Ms Boosaba Daorueng continues.
Numerous popular Thai artists will participate in the festival such as Da Endorphine, Golf-Mike, Potato, Palaphol, Calories Blah Blah, Paradox, Chin Chinawut, Ice Sarunyu, Namcha, Noona Nuengtida, Ge-on, New-Jew, Aof Pongsak, Punch, Sweet Mullet, Ruj The Star, Singto The Star, Pek Palichoke, Blackhead, Bie The Star, Got Chakapun, Tai Oratai, P Sadirt, The Richman Toy, Modern Dog, etc.
In addition to national artists, foreign performances will involve groups and singers such as A.B.C-Z, Kis-My_ft2, B.I.Shadow and Qestion from Johnny’s Junior from Japan, Derrick Hoh from Singapore, Super Kidz from Indonesia, PAK from Vietnam, Will Ng from Malaysia, Nina from Philippines; Tik Princess from Lao PDR and Rain from Korea.
In order to promote the event, GMM Grammy Public Company Limited and Modern Nine TV will provide the live broadcast, as well as producing 30-second TV and radio spots promoting the “Amazing Music, Amazing Pattaya” concept.
GMM extends its promotion campaign through various medias such as, TV, cable, radio, Internet and other printed media including leaflets, billboards, cut-outs, and other signage.
GMM Grammy Public Company Limited in cooperation with its partners, its crews, Thai and foreign artists hope that Pattaya International Music Festival 2011 will be a huge success that would help to increase Thailand’s economy under the “Amazing Thailand Always Amazes You” theme.
