The police arrested a husband and his wife for their long-term distribution of Amphetamines to teenagers and street vendors.

Pattaya, 15th March 2011 [PDN]: At 6 p.m., Police Lieutenant Wissanu Chaisuwan, Assistant Suppressing Officer of Pattaya Department, Chonburi and police team planned an undercover operation to expose drug suspects. An undercover agent purchased 4 Amphetamines from a drug dealer for an amount of 1,000 Baht. The purchase was made behind Bangkok Bank, Pattaya Branch (locates at Moo.9, Nongprue, Banglamung, Chonburi).

The undercover operation was a success. The police arrested 37-year-old Mr. Naruecha Yaemsamran (resides at 34/1 Moo.2 Tapraya, Nakornchaisri, Nakornpathom) with 4 Amphetamines and the cash used for the operation. The police searched the suspect’s house for more evidence. His house was located near the Bank.

At the suspect’s house, the police found the suspect’s wife, Miss Jittra Prommee, aged 28 (resides at 97/3 Moo.1 Takrachab, Nakornchaisri, Nakornpathom), while she was feeding her baby. The wife stated that she did not know about her husband’s drug business but the police was not convinced. The officer searched the house and found 36 Amphetamines hidden in a bottle and one gram of Ya-Ice contained in a plastic bag including related drug devices. The wife became speechless at the evidence found.

Based on police’s interrogation, this couple confessed that they had been selling drugs to Pattaya teenagers and street vendors for a long time. They stated that this was their means of providing financial support for the family. Both of them were also addicted to using drugs. The couple was captured and charged with the possession and distribution of illegal drugs under Category One.
