Pattaya, 8th March 2011 [PDN]: At Pattaya City Hall, Mr. Sutham Petchket (Pattaya City Deputy General Degree) and Mr. Worawut Charenphol (Bureau Chief of Pattaya) had a meeting for Pattaya Dog Show Festival Championship 2011. Representatives from Association of Seed Development Dog, Thailand and other participated agencies were also present at the meeting.
Pattaya City and Dog Breeds Association, Thailand, has planned to use this festival as a means of providing education about dogs. In particulate, the purpose of the event is to educate the public appropriate ways of training and raising dogs in an international standard. The event also targets at the farmers and dog owners in the country as well as overseas, including the public and tourists in Pattaya. This event also aims to promote the city’s tourism. The Pattaya Dog Show Festival Championship 2011 will be held on March 18-21, 2011 at the National Sports Centre East, Chaiyapruek Soi 2.

Mr. Sutham Petchket, Deputy Secretary of Pattaya advises that extra cautions and safety need to be implemented at this festival because many dog breeds will come together. Different breeds may attack each other, causing injuries. In addition, he also emphasizes the importance of keeping the area clean at all times. He recommends that signs should be readily available throughout the area to remind dog’s owners to clean after their dogs. Also extra staffs are required to regularly check the premises to ensure that the area is free of unwanted faeces and unpleasant odour. Many people are expected to attend this event, including tourists, all for the love of dogs.
