Koh Kood tipped as top beach destination by UK website

When the iWantSun.co.uk website named Koh Kood as being amongst its top 10 summer destinations for 2011 it put the spotlight on a Thai beach destination that is still little known but which is very much up and coming.

Koh Kood is the last island in Trat Province’s maritime territory before you cross over into Cambodian waters. The second largest island in Trat after Koh Chang, Koh Kood is relatively flat, with much of its interior either completely wild or given over to coconut and rubber tree plantations.

The island has superb beaches and crystal-clear water, and a number of small but high-quality resorts have sprung up in the past few years.
