Pattaya, 19th January 2011 [PDN]: At 17.00, Police General Nattawan Sirithongphe, investigations Officer from the Pattaya Police Station along with a team from the Rescue Foundation, was notified of an incident regarding a woman who had landed on a rooftop, receiving serious injuries, at 47/65 Soi Koh Fai 3 South Pattaya, Moo 10 Nongbrue Banglamung, Chonburi.

The scene of the incident was a single story house with broken roof tiles scattered around and Ms. Nujree Samakrdee aged 30, from Khon Gaen lying unconscious on the roof having received serious injuries. She was brought down by the rescue team and taken to Banglamung Hospital.
On questioning the maid from the affected house, she told police that as she was sitting in front of the house, she jumped at the sound of something heavy falling onto the roof followed by the smashing of roof tiles which left a hole in the ceiling. On looking up, she noticed the body of Ms Nujree and called the rescue foundation.

Witnesses claimed they had did not know Ms. Nujree and had not seen her before, until she walked absent mindedly into the apartment block to the third floor and climbed onto the balcony, jumping off and landing on the roof of the house.
The reason for her jumping from the balcony remains a mystery, but it is assumed she may have been upset over a broken relationship which led to the attempted suicide.
