Ingredients:
1.5 kg chicken pieces
salt and pepper
cinnamon
2-3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 medium to large green pepper, chopped
1 large onion, sliced
2 stalks celery, chopped (optional)
½ kg sliced mushrooms, drained
¼ cup dry sherry
1cup fresh (or canned) chopped tomatoes
½ cup water.

3 tablespoons water)

Method:
Rinse chicken pieces and pat dry with kitchen paper. Season with salt, pepper and cinnamon.
Place green pepper, onions, celery and garlic in bottom of slow cooker.
Add seasoned chicken pieces and pour in mushrooms, sherry and tomatoes and ½ cup water- stir well.
Cover and cook on Low setting for 5 – 8 hours, or High 3 – 4 hours.
Remove chicken pieces, keep warm.
Make a smooth paste from the flour and water and stir into slow cooker.
Return chicken, cover and cook on High setting for 15-20 minutes or until gravy is thickened.
Serve with hot noodles, fluffy rice or potatoes.
Cooking time: 4-6 hours on Low, 2-3 hours on High
